Amy V. Mitchell

Amy Mitchell is a Family Law Attorney and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, as well as trained in Collaborative Divorce.  She is committed to The Marks Law Firm, P.A. – Family Law & Divorce Attorneys Mission of honoring God and faithfully representing Clients, as well as employing the firm’s Core Values. Teamwork, Integrity, Going the Extra Mile, Creativity/Strategic Thinking, and Excellence in Work Product/Timely are top of mind for Attorney Mitchell in serving her Clients on an individualized basis.

Amy is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy Law and the University of Windsor Law, where she received the unique dual J.D./LL.B law degrees. Meaning, she is licensed to practice in the State of Florida and Ontario, Canada.

Amy found her calling to Family Law during the years of experiencing her own contentious and litigious Divorce. She gained invaluable litigation experience and developed strong advocacy and negotiation skills, which she now utilizes to help Clients navigate their difficult situation to achieve the best possible outcome for them and their children.

As a Family Law Attorney, Amy truly listens to her Clients’ expectations and goals while educating them about their rights and options to find solutions that align with their best interests.  She knows, first-hand, how stressful Divorce/Court processes can be and shows the compassion and support that is needed to help Clients through their difficult situation.  As a Mediator, Amy takes her Attorney hat off to become a neutral third party who listens and facilitates the communication between both sides to try and reach an amicable resolution.

Amy has three beautiful daughters who are the lights of her life.  In her spare time, she loves writing and is now a Post Hill Press and Simon & Schuster Published Author of a true crime memoir, The Velvet Hammer. To order her book, CLICK HERE.
